Looking for some trivia to show off at your next cocktail party or social gathering? Fast Car Magazine has released 10 things that most people don't know about Nissan. Here are a couple of our favorite things on the list:
Nissanʼs VQ V6 featured on Wardʼs list of the ten ʻbestʼ engines every year since the list started in 1995 until 2008. The test is based on several key criteria including power and torque outputs.
The Nissan name has been about since the 1930s and is an abbreviation of Nippon Sangyo.
Nissan’s collection of ‘Z’ sports cars hold the record as the best selling sports car of all time, with over 2 million cars sold throughout the five generations.
The ECU in the new GT-R limits the top speed to 180km/h to comply with Japanese law. This is unless the car is at an ʻapprovedʼ race track, at which point the carʼs GPS system recognizes the location and de- restricts the top speed! Clever stuff eh?
